Homeopath

I became interested in Homeopathy when my son had frequent and recurrent ear infections while still a small baby and was concerned what affect this would have on his hearing.

After numerous perforated ear drums and doses of antibiotics I found a book on Homeopathy and childhood ear infections.

His ear infections resolved with the aid of the book and I became so interested in Homeopathy that I undertook a Homeopathy First Aid Course following which I decided to train and become a Homeopath myself.

I trained for 4 years at the Centre for Homeopathic Education in Regent's Park, London.

I Qualified in 2006 and have been working as a Homeopath for over 16 years.

I am registered and insured with HINT (Homeopathy International)

I am a mother of four children and have gained considerable practical experience using Homeopathy in First Aid situations, while treating the children. As a family we use Homeopathy to stay in good health.

Since qualifying I have seen clients with a variety of ailments.

Nurse

I worked for many years on various departments in the  NHS, such as A&E and  Orthopaedic wards. Latterly I worked as an Agency Nurse at different busy Hospitals at a moments notice, as well as Nursing Homes.

Midwife

Nursing was followed by a number of years  as Midwife in the local Maternity Unit undertaking Homebirths and Waterbirths, as well as undertaking antenatal clinics, parentcraft sessions and post-natal Home visits.

While working as a midwife I undertook to study breastfeeding in depth and obtained the Lactation Consultant of Great Britain  Certificate.

Lactation Consultant Great Britain

I undertook intensive training in the art of breastfeeding and its benefits.

Including teaching all health care staff & GP's .

As part of the UNICEF Breastfeeding promotion I was the breastfeeding UNICEF co-ordinator at the local Midwifery Unit for which the Unit was awarded the UNICEF Baby Friendly Award, one of only 14 units in the country at that time.

During this time I also set up the Breastfeeding Support Group in the Midwifery led Maternity Unit. The National Childbirth Trust (NCT) kindly donated a number of books for the Mums who attended to use.

I also worked with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers (ABM) and National Childbirth Trust (NCT) as one of their many breastfeeding counsellors.
